This page is dedicated to our current 2016-2017 Queen's Court and all the fun they've had this year! Every year girls sign up for the Court Pageant. All of the contestants go through interviews with judges, questions on stage, and plenty of fun through the weeks leading up to the pageant. They spend the next year attending parades & other fairs, participate in community service projects and much much more! We are very proud of 2016-2017 KCFA Queen's Court!!

"2016-2017 Queen" Leighton Dorman

Leighton is driven by a compassion for others, a desire to accomplish her goals and determination to fulfill her wildest dreams. Her activities and interest are broad, ranging from riding horses to community service. She loves to ride an takes dressage lessons to improve her skills. She enjoys reading, writing poetry and has a passion for music that spans across all genres.

She volunteers at Triple H Equitherapy Center where clients partner with horses and humans to achieve goals that enhance their physical, emotional, social and behavioral abilities. She is a Sophomore at Boerne High School and plays violin with the Varsity Orchestra. She is an active member of the 4-H and enrolled in the Veterinary Science program thru Texas A&M University,

In the future, she would love to travel and learn new cultures as well as attend Emerson College and pursue a Masters of Fine Arts degree in creative writing.

"2016-2017 Princess" Kortni Langlinais

Kortni is a Senior at Boerne High School, where she is involved in the FFA, Student Council, National Honor Society, Varsity Soccer and Varsity Cross Country. She is an active member of Hill Country Crossfit, where she has formed great relationships and earned team building skills.

Earlier this year, she caught a calf at the San Antonio Rodeo Calf Scramble and intends to show both chickens and a gilt next year at the Kendall County and San Antonio Livestock Shows. She actively participates in her youth group at 19:10 Church and helps promote the importance of Christian values throughout the community. She volunteers at Equine Sense working with disable children to help them learn the necessary skills to connect and build relationships through horse interaction.

After graduating, she is planning to attend Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in Animal Science or Agriculture. After college she plans to serve and protect our country in the US Air Force.

"2016-2017 Duchess" Merina Jackson

Merina is a Junior at Samuel Champion High School. She takes advanced placement courses, and is involved in many extra-curricular activities, such as Boerne Buddies, FFA, Mock Trial and Advanced Welding.

As a member of FFA, she plans to participate in all the program can provide, such as livestock judging, Public Speaking events, Volunteer Opportunities and aims to be an FFA office holder.

Outside of school, she has a passion for the local community and loves to volunteer her time and serve others through God at the Hill Country Daily Bread, the local Women's Shelter and Equine Sense, a therapeutic horseback facility.

After high school she plans to attend Tarleton State University and obtain a degree in Animal Science in hopes of being an AG teacher.

"2016-2017 Little Miss" Brianna Garza

Brianna is an energetic 5th grader at Fabra Elementary school. Like her Daddy, she is a lifelong resident of Kendall County. She is a member of 19:10 Church an participates in many service projects including Keep Boerne Beautiful, Don't Go To Church, Be The Church, and Take it to the Streets helping to feed the homeless.

She has attended Bible Study Fellowship for 5 years, but is most proud her 2 years sponsorship of a Guatemalen girl which makes it possible for her to attend school. She will meet her next summer on a mission trip with her church.

She has ridden horses and competed in rodeos since she was three years old. She is a Kendall County 4-H Horse Club Junior Director, member of the youth Horse Club of the Hill Country, participant in the St. Jude's Ride for the Cure and a member of Herman Sons.

She is happiest when she is helping animals, kids neighbors and the homeless. If she ran the world, every person and animal would have a home.
