For over 100 years, the Kendall County Fair Association has upheld its nonprofit mission, becoming a cherished Hill Country tradition. Its signature event, the Kendall County Fair, draws thousands each year and celebrates the spirit of down-home fun, good times, and good friends.

History
Our Beginnings
KCFA traces its roots to 1905, when the citizens of Boerne came together to share agricultural knowledge, recipes, and community news. In 1913, this grassroots gathering was formally established as the Kendall County Fair Association and granted a nonprofit corporate charter by the State of Texas.

The first Kendall County Fair is held at the Opera House in downtown Boerne, Texas, bringing residents together to share ideas, news, and traditions.
1913
Citizens of Kendall County gather for a mass meeting to formally organize the Kendall County Fair Association.
1913
The Ferdinand Ludwig Von Herff family—deeded 55 acres of land to the Kendall County Fair Association in 1913.
1916
